I know...I know...

this is the common thread on November 1st. I have a love/hate relationship with seeing it all over social media. I wish I could commit to it and share daily but it's just too much during the holiday season. In our fast paced lives, it's easy to overlook moments we are thankful for, but it is important to try. I have started this sort of thing more times than I can count and never finished. But, it's not about perfection, it's taking note. That note might be a 3 second blurb in your mind while driving, but acknowledging that moment and thankfulness is all that matters. Who cares if it makes it to social media or your planner insert. Acknowledged the gratitude.

Thanksgiving is at the top of my list for holidays and I feel like it gets missed far to often as it's sandwiched between two that bring such extravagance to the day. I thing thankfulness plays such an important part in our day to day lives that we don't really give it enough credit.

Gratitude can help with:

Enhanced Mental Health: Regularly acknowledging what you're thankful for can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It shifts your focus from what's lacking to what's abundant, fostering a more positive outlook.

Improved Relationships: Showing appreciation to those around you strengthens bonds and builds trust. When people feel valued, it fosters deeper connections and mutual respect.

Increased Resilience: Practicing gratitude helps you cope better with challenges. By focusing on positive aspects, even in tough times, you build mental strength and resilience.

Better Physical Health: Studies show that grateful people experience fewer aches and pains and report feeling healthier. Gratitude can also encourage healthier habits, like exercise and sleep.

Boosted Self-Esteem: Recognizing the good in your life can improve your self-worth. It helps you appreciate your achievements and see your value more clearly.

Who's with me in trying to stick with it this year?!
